Financial Aid

The Studio offers a range of financial aid options for eligible students. These may include late payment plans, interest free tuition funding, key student and work study positions, which are limited in availability, and partial to full scholarships. Some forms of financial aid are available only beyond the entry level. Please note that the Studio does not offer full ride scholarships to students new to the Studio.

Special Financial Arrangements

First time applicants who are not previously known to the Studio may be eligible for a special tuition payment arrangement upon admission to a Studio class. Requests for special payment arrangements must be made at the time of registration. The terms of any such arrangement are determined by the
Studio administrator and must be strictly adhered to. Failure to comply with the agreed upon terms will result in forfeiture of the arrangement.

Financial Assistantships

To be eligible for a financial assistantship, a student must have been associated with the Studio for a minimum of two months and must be considered a
student in good standing. Recipients are required to maintain this status by demonstrating perfect attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Memorial Scholarships

Eligibility Notice

Memorial and need based scholarships at The Acting Studio New York are intended to support emerging artists at the early stages of their professional
development. In keeping with the original intent of these funds, scholarship eligibility is limited to applicants aged thirty two and under.

Applicants over the age of thirty two are warmly encouraged to apply for training and may be eligible for alternative forms of financial support, including tuition payment plans, work study positions, and, when available, financial assistantships.

This policy allows the Studio to responsibly steward limited scholarship funds while continuing to offer access to training for artists at all stages of life.

The Studio is the conservator of several memorial scholarships available to individuals aged thirty two or under, including:

Rose Arrick Memorial Scholarship, awarded multiple times throughout the year for special acting classes.

Scott Griffin Scholarship, providing awards in the range of two hundred to three hundred dollars to assist new applicants admitted to the Acting for Beginners and Introduction to Meisner classes.

Dream Royale Foundation and Altagracia Moquete Feliz Acting Scholarship, which provides funded educational opportunities to underprivileged inner city individuals raised in the Bronx borough of New York.

Scholarships are awarded based on financial need or merit. All recipients must remain deserving students in good standing, with no lateness or absences. The purpose of these scholarships is to support recipients in fully engaging in the practice, exercise, and study of acting at The Acting Studio New York, and in developing toward professional careers in theatre and film arts.
