LIMITED to 10 students only.
This course introduces essential techniques in stage and screen combat designed for the contemporary actor. The curriculum is highly physical, encompassing a wide array of methods that address the diverse requirements of modern film and theatre productions. Students will concentrate on developing effective partnering skills, enhancing kinesthetic awareness, and learning the processes involved in the creation, rehearsal, and execution of fight choreography. Dedicated sessions will focus on the accurate portrayal of pain, death, and other physical trauma on stage and screen. Upon completion of this eight-week program, participants will possess an improved understanding of their bodies as expressive tools and a solid foundation for confidently approaching scenes involving staged violence.
