Confidence, Control, and Truth Under Pressure
This intensive eight week course trains actors to perform staged violence with precision, safety, and emotional truth for both stage and screen. Designed for contemporary film and theatre demands, the class is highly physical and rigorously practical, focusing on the skills actors are expected to bring into auditions, rehearsals, and professional productions.
Students develop strong partnering and trust skills, sharpen kinesthetic awareness, and learn the professional process of building, rehearsing, and executing fight choreography. Equal emphasis is placed on technique and storytelling, ensuring that every moment of violence serves character, circumstance, and dramatic intention rather than empty spectacle.
Dedicated sessions focus on the truthful portrayal of pain, injury, death, and physical trauma, teaching actors how to communicate danger and consequence clearly and convincingly without sacrificing safety or control.
