Singing for Actors is a fun, supportive introduction to singing designed specifically for actors. Singing is a task actors are often required to do in performance, and this class is uniquely structured to remove the fear and intimidation many actors feel when asked to sing, especially those who do not consider themselves singers.

The instructor meets each student at their individual level, creating a safe and encouraging learning environment. Within just a few weeks, students work together on an ensemble song chosen to match the collective ability of the group, often drawn from the musical theatre repertoire.

Singing for Actors introduces students to the fundamentals of voice as applied to singing, with a strong emphasis on storytelling and truthful expression.

The course includes:

• Techniques for developing a vocal and physical warm up routine
• Speech and articulation exercises
• Powerful storytelling skills through song
