The studio recently underwent a “facelift” getting a new logo design. The Acting Studio, Inc. recently incorporated a new logo design to improve its indentity on a variety of the new media sites which pop up everyday online.

Congratulations to Chelsea Rep LAB/Acting Studio Playwriting 1/2 student, Keith Filangieri, who was informed by the Riant Theatre Company that his short play, PAULA’S VISITOR, will be published as part of their next anthology of new plays. PAULA’S VISITOR came out of Anne Phelan’s beginning Playwriting 1 in the fall of 2011.

I SAW THIS MOVIE LAST NIGHT. IT’S FANTASTIC. If any of my students remember the emotional preparation story about my “old friend Chuck who was like a father to me” this movie is directed by his son Elgin James (Nathan “Nate” Perroncel). The young actors are wonderful and Elgin gets wonderful work from them. It is truthfully a labor of love, comes all from the heart, and quite a gem. Check it out all ye film directors and actors and friends. Playing at the Angelika in NEW YORK before going to other major city markets.
