The Fall classes are here! And the class schedule has been updated for the enrollment process to begin. These are the start dates of the season:

  • Intro to Meisner- Sept.. 13
  • Voice & Speech - Sept. 13
    Scene Study -Sept. 15
  • Monologue - Sept. 16

Intro to Meisner - Principles of Acting is the most popular acting class in our school. Whether you have already had some acting training or none at all, this course will teach you fundamental principles upon which to build a solid technique.

The Acting Studio, Inc. is a private acting school/studio of distinction located in the heart of the theatre district of New York City. The studio, now in it's twenty fifth year of operation, offers acting programs and acting classes that are uniquely designed to suit the needs of the twenty-first century actor and director working in film and theatre.

The Acting Studio, Inc. is dedicated equally to development of skills at the highest level through intensive short-term and long-term classes, and to the application of those skills in work on open-classes and group projects and on productions for public performance produced in conjunction with Chelsea Repertory Company. Acting Studio alumnus Kym Gomes' project with the Chelsea Rep LAB, a little-known "lynching play" of historic note titled "By Hands Unknown", was admitted to the New York Fringe Festival this summer.

Chelsea Rep presents TWO PLAYS "In Repertory" AUG 5-21

The studio is pleased to announce that William Shakespeare's ROMEO & JULIET will be presented by Chelsea Repertory Company 'in repertory' with ONE FLEA SPARE by Naomi Wallace. Both plays are directed by company director and studio associate John Grabowski and feature an array of studio actors from the Performance 1 Workshop along with other current program students and members of our distinguished studio alumni. Julianna Margulies
 

James Price & The Acting Studio, Inc. congratulate studio alumnus Julianna Margulies on her new hit show  The Good Wife and on her winning this year's Golden Globe Award for "Best Actress in a Drama".
Julianna is an Emmy, SAG and now Golden Globe award-winning actress.  You can catch her new show,  The Good Wife on  Tuesday nights at 10pm on CBS. "Congratulations Julia! You've made your old Meisner teacher very proud."
